Richard Millard

Senior Sustainability Consultant

Richard joined the team in July 2021 and is an experienced sustainable energy consultant with a proven track record completing Part L compliance calculations, Planning Statements, Overheating Modelling, and Commercial Energy Surveys. 

Prior to joining Building Energy Experts Rich gained a First-Class Honours degree in Architectural Engineering from the University of Plymouth, specialising in low energy building design for new builds and retrofits of existing buildings. During his studies, Rich gained a deep interest in sustainability in the built environment. 

Rich has attained various qualifications since joining the team including becoming a certified ATTMA Level 1 Air Tightness Tester, Domestic Energy Assessor, Retrofit Assessor, On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor and Level 4 Non Domestic Energy Assessor. 

In his current role of Senior Sustainability Consultant, Rich oversees our consultancy work delivering Part L, SAP, and SBEM compliance calculations, Dynamic Thermal Models, Energy and Sustainability Statements, Commercial Energy Surveys and Commercial EPCs. Rich is passionate and committed to delivering high quality assessments and surveys, helping to reach client goals while aligning with his and Building Energy Expert’s sustainability goals.
